On May 31, the Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov received the visiting Junior Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Ivan Jancarek, who arrived in Uzbekistan for inter-MFA political consultations, bilateral meetings in the Senate, Ministry of Foreign Trade, Committee for Investments and is expected to visit Khorezm province.

On May 29, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a government meeting focusing on the analysis and assessment of the status of the accords, agreements and projects signed following his state visits to Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Russia and China, as well as talks with the President Turkey.

The National Media Board, which was inaugurated on May 29, announced the introduction in Uzbekistan of a television audience measurement system.

A delegation of the Foreign Ministry of the Czech Republic led by Deputy Minister Ivan Jancarek arrived in Tashkent to take part in the sixth round of Uzbek-Czech political consultations between Foreign Ministries which will take place on May 31.

On May 27, the Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov made an address at the 10th plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the press service of the ministry said.

Project HOPE Executive Vice President Chris Skopec visited Uzbekistan in May to meet with government officials on current TB control interventions and to deliver an opening address at the conference on the End TB Strategy and Patient-Centered Care.

During the 10th plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the senators considered  the Making Amendments and Addenda, Recognition as Void of Some Legal Acts of Uzbekistan Bill.

On May 27, the Uzbek Senate at its 10th plenary meeting has approved new heads of diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan in Belgium, India and the Republic of Korea, a statement of the Foreign Ministry said.

On May 26 Shavkat Mirziyoyev as part of his Shakhontokhur district trip visited the mausoleum and mosque of Suzuk-ota.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his Shakhontokhur district trip visited the heating plant No. 3 of the JSC Tashkent Isissiklik Markazi. This heating plant was built in the 1970s and supplies heat to 937 facilities in the district.

President of Uzbekistan signed a decree on May 26 appointing Aziz Abdukhakimov as Minister of Employment and Labor Relations, the Ministry announced in a statement.

On May 24-25, at the Uzbek Foreign Ministry was held the regular Uzbek-Tajik inter-ministerial consultations on the inventory check of legal framework of bilateral ties, for which a delegation of the Tajik Foreign Ministry led by Deputy Head of Treaties and Legal Department Parviz Sodiqiy has arrived in Tashkent.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Thursday received a Turkish delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Tuğrul Türkeş,  Akhborot on Uzbekistan channel reported.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree appointing Ismatilla Irgashev as the President's special representative for Afghanistan, the Foreign Ministry said.

On May 24, at the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, as part of the political consultations between Foreign ministries, was held a meeting with a delegation of the Australian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade led by the Director of the Department of South and West Asia, James Hall, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.

Anvar Juraev has been appointed as Deputy mayor of Tashkent city and Chairman of the Board of ToshShaharTransHizmat (local government body responsible for Tashkent transport) replacing Atabek Sadykov, the company's announced in a statement.

On May 24, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the visiting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev by his May 23 decree "On measures to improve national policies in the sphere of employment and radically increase the effectiveness of labor authorities” converted the Ministry of Labor into Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations," Akhborot on Uzbekistan TV channel reported.

By the May 19 decision of the Cabinet of Ministers Abdugani Sanginov has been appointed as chairman of the newly created UzbekHydroEnergo, a source in the government said.
