Complaint to the Police department

Tashkent resident Evgeniya M. reported that she wrote a complaint to the Chilanzar District Police department with a request to check the advertisement for violation of the Protection of Women from Harassment and Violence Law and On Guarantees of Equal Rights and Opportunities for Women and Men law".

In the complaint, she recalls that Uzbekistan, as a member of the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, condemns such manifestations and undertakes to pursue a policy of eliminating discrimination against women by all appropriate means.

In her opinion, the bar's advertisement "promotes a disrespectful, consumerist attitude towards women." "As a woman, I consider myself insulted by such advertising, which is also widely distributed in the media," Evgeniya said.

She asked to take measures to ensure respectful treatment of women and address discrimination.
