Uzbekistan and the United States have signed an agreement to support business delegations and promote new investment projects between the two nations.

Laziz Kudratov, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, met with David Fogel, U.S. Assistant Secretary of Commerce, to discuss expanding bilateral trade, economic, investment, and industrial cooperation.

In 2025, mutual trade turnover between the two countries surpassed $1 billion. During the meeting, special attention was paid to joint initiatives in energy, mining, transportation, agriculture, finance, digital technologies, innovation, and artificial intelligence.

The negotiations concluded with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan and the U.S. Commercial Service. The document aims to support regional business delegations, foster interregional connections, expand corporate networking, and drive new investment projects.
