A delegation of more than 30 Afghan business owners specializing in automotive and spare parts sales has arrived in Tashkent to explore the capital’s commercial infrastructure and potential partnership opportunities.
During the first leg of their itinerary, the delegation visited the Sergeli used car and spare parts market, the Tashkent Index commercial complex, and the production facilities of Banner Print LLC. The visitors were briefed on ongoing initiatives to develop Tashkent's automotive and parts trade sector, the incentives created for businesses, and the prospects for expanding economic and trade ties between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan.
The visit is also scheduled to include business-to-business (B2B) networking sessions, allowing businesses from both nations to establish new commercial contacts and discuss mutually beneficial ventures. Representatives from the Tashkent City Administration and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan are accompanying the Afghan delegation throughout their tour.
According to the National Statistics Committee, 228,600 foreign nationals traveled to Uzbekistan for commercial purposes between January and June 2026. Notably, Afghan citizens accounted for the largest share of business arrivals in the country during this six-month period.
