On February 12, the Minister of Agriculture Jamshid Hodjaev met with the Israeli ambassador and the officials of Gadot Agro, the Ministry said.
The parties reportedly discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture, and the minister Khodjaev proposed to hold the Uzbekistan-Israel agroforum in Tashkent April 2019, with the visit of the major Israeli firms to be invited to Uzbekistan to get acquainted with the Uzbekistan’s agricultural market and hold B2B contacts.
"Israel has built an effective agricultural system in a harsh climate conditions. We are interested in studying the leading Israeli technologies and experience in improving productivity and quality, as well as structural agricultural reforms," said Hodjaev.
Representatives of Gadot Agro held presentations on drip irrigation technologies.
