On February 9, the Ministry of Transport held a meeting with representatives of Iranian Aseman Airlines. The talks were held with the Deputy Chairman for Commercial Affairs A.Asad, as well as Executive Director of Persian Gulf travel firm M.Rahmanifar. The sides discussed issues of charter and regular flights between Uzbekistan and Iran, the ministry's press service said.
At the meeting, the head of the Air Transport Development Department of the Ministry of Transport D. Djumaev briefed the guests on the reforms being carried out to attract foreign airlines to the country, expand the geography and increase the frequency of flights.
At the initial stage, the Iranian carrier announced its intention to launch Tehran to Tashkent, Tehran to Bukhara charter flights.
According to the airline's plans, the flights will start in March this year. Later, regular flights will be launched.
