Senate will be convened for the thirty-fifth plenary session on November 18. The senators will review amendments to the State Duty Law, Guarantees of Equal Rights and Opportunities for Women and Men Law and others, including in connection with the improvement of the corporate governance system and aimed at protecting the rights and legitimate interests of convicts.

The upper house will also consider bills on the ratification of the Izmir Treaty (Izmir, September 14, 1996) and the Military Framework Agreement between the governments of Uzbekistan and Turkey (Tashkent, March 29, 2022).

Members of the Senate will hear reports from the Cabinet of Ministers on the execution of the state budget for nine months and the implementation of the State Program in the Year of Ensuring Human Interests and Development of the Mahalla.

The senators will discuss the results of the government’s efforts to create jobs and ensure employment in the Tashkent province and Tashkent.

The meeting will also consider the results of a parliamentary request sent to the government on cleaning up riverbeds and strengthening their banks, the negative impact of mining of non-metallic minerals on environmental, water and road facilities.

In addition, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court is scheduled to be elected during the session.
