The Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov hosted the UK Ambassador Tim Torlot. The parties discussed the bilateral ties and the ways to advance them.
They also commended the outcomes of the 26th meeting of the Uzbekistan-UK Trade and Industry Council (November 30, Tashkent), attended by 126 representatives of 73 major UK companies.
The sides exchanged opinions were on the organizational aspects of future joint contacts at different levels, holding the next meeting of political consultations between MFAs in Tashkent on December 15.
Focus was placed on the development of trade-economic and investment cooperation. The ambassador expressed his readiness to organize seminars with the participation of UK experts on the use of the GSP+ system, the study of the UK’s experience on the development of the capital market and the banking sector.
