The company must become free, open and competitive. Now it has about 30 aircraft in its fleet. For example, it is necessary to increase the number of aircraft, improve the quality of service, reduce prices and be competitive not only on domestic flights, but also on international ones. We could buy aircraft, but we need to use it correctly.
Uzbekistan Airways will become a cheap and safe airline, which is what our people expect, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The first step towards the privatization of Uzbekistan Airways was made in August. The State Assets Management Agency announced a competition to select a professional consulting company to develop a strategy for the company's privatization.
