On June 12, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting with the visiting delegation from Poland headed by the Plenipotentiary for International Dialogue of the Polish government, the senator Anna Maria Anders, the press service of the Foreign Ministry said.
The Polish delegation arrived in Uzbekistan to hold negotiations in various formats and to participate in events to commemorate the soldiers of the Polish army who fought under the command of General Władysław Albert Anders and were buried in Uzbekistan.
At a meeting in the Foreign Ministry, the sides discussed the state of Uzbek-Polish ties emphasizing the need for their further development in the political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian and other areas and exchanged views on current international and regional affairs.
In the meeting was also present the Polish Ambassador Piotr Iwaszkiewicz.
