40 foreign technology and internet firms had been registered in Uzbekistan as of December 1, 2022. According to the State Tax Committee, their number has doubled in 2 years.
In 11 months, these foreign companies paid 44.8 billion soums of tax, which is twice as much as compared to last year.
The following 10 foreign companies accounted for 98% of paid taxes:
- Meta - 18.6 billion soums;
- Google - 14.8 billion soums;
- Apple - 6.2 billion soums;
- Booking.som - 1.4 billion soms;
- Netflix - 867.7 million soums;
- Xsolla - 798.1 million soums;
- Yandex - 445.5 million soums;
- Paddle.com - 404.2 million soms;
- LinkedIn - 234.1 million soums;
- Adobe Systems - 180.3 million soums.
