With the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuala Lumpur, an online meeting was held between the Ministries of Transport of Uzbekistan and Brunei, as well as the CEOs of Uzbekistan Airports, Marokanda Air and Royal Brunei Airlines, Dunyo reported.

Established in 1974, Royal Brunei Airlines is the state-owned national airline of Brunei. Today, the company flies to 20 destinations in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Australia and Oceania.

Reportedly, the parties explored the ways to establish cooperation, the prospects of Royal Brunei Airlines' direct flights to Uzbekistan.

As a first step, the sides proposed to create the legal basis of cooperation by developing and signing of an air service agreement on.

Laylatul Zurayda, the chied of the Aviation Development Department of the Ministry of Transport and Information Communications of Brunei, proposed strengthening the capacity of the aviation authortities and airports of the two countries, establishing cooperation within the framework of pilgrimage tourism and Umrah+ program.

At the meeting, an agreement was reached on the organization of the trip to Uzbekistan by the representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Information Communication of Brunei and Royal Brunei Airlines.
