Regular meeting of the council of senior officials of the member states of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) took place today in Tashkent.
The event is attended by delegations from Central Asian countries, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iran and Pakistan, as well as the ECO secretariat.
First Deputy Foreign Minister F. Sidiqov and Secretary General of the organization H. Noziri delivered a welcoming speech to the participants of the meeting.
Reportedly, the ECO Secretary General highly valued the organizational and substantive efforts on holding this meeting and expressed confidence in the further strengthening of regional cooperation.
Throughout the day, the participants of the meeting will carry out the necessary preparatory work for the successful holding at a practical level of the upcoming 26th meeting of the ECO Council of Foreign Ministers, which will be held in Tashkent on January 24 this year.
