Man, wanted by Interpol for involvement in religious extremist activities, was brought from Chisinau to Tashkent, the National Central Bureau of Interpol in Uzbekistan reported.
Reportedly, he had been hiding from the law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan, the detainee joined an international extremist organization, where he had training in preparing and committing terrorist acts, becoming one of the leaders of the organization,” the report says.
Thanks to joint actions and operational information exchange between the national Interpol bureaus of Uzbekistan and Moldova, the man was arrested and transferred to Uzbekistan, where he will stand trial.
