Agreement was reached with the Indian Department of Atomic Energy, as per which Uzbekistan's state-owned company NavoiUran will export uranium to India from March 2023. the company said.
Reportedly, officials of the Indian Department of Atomic Energy visited the company facilities and got acquainted with the processes of production and preparation of products for export. In particular, the natural uranium to be exported to India was inspected and a positive assessment was given to its production process.
NavoiUran is currently exporting uranium to Japan, Canada, USA, and South Korea. The company has entererd into export contracts with the world's major companies: Itochu, Marubeni, Cameco, KHNP for the years 2023-2026.
