President Shavkat Mirziyoyev with his June 20 decree has named Inom Majidov as Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of Uzbekistan, replacing Rustam Kasimov, who was appointed the first deputy state adviser to the President on organizational and personnel matters and rector of the Academy of Public Administration under the President by another decree of the head of state, the government portal said. Previously, this post was occupied by Adham Ikramov, who will now be overseeing the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Prior to this appointment, Inom Majidov from September 2016 worked as First Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education. Before, he was the head of the department of higher educational institutions of the same Ministry.
