Maiden meeting of special envoys of Afghanistan's neighboring countries kicked off this morning in Tashkent, Dunyo reported. Reportedly, the meeting was opened by the Special Envoy of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev.
At the meeting, the delegations of Iran, China, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will discuss the current situation in Afghanistan, including humanitarian aspects, and touch upon the cooperation between the parties to resolve the situation in the country and establish long-term peace and stability.
During the meeting, the participants will determine the venue and time for the second meeting of the special representatives, as well as exchange views on the timing of the 4th meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Afghanistan's neighboring countries in Tashkent.
