On April 14, Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov will attend the meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers in Samarkand.
This was announced on Wednesday at a briefing by Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, TASS reported.
She said that during the meeting, the heads of foreign ministries will exchange views on topical international and regional topics, discuss promising areas for advancing of multifaceted cooperation within the CIS and sum up the results of inter-MFA cooperation in 2022.
The parties are scheduled to focus on international security issues, as well as strengthening ties in law enforcement, cultural, humanitarian and educational areas, Zakharova added.
