Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang will attend the fourth ministerial conference of Afghanistan's neighboring countries in Uzbekistan.
According to the Xinhua agency, Qin Gang has accepted the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov, and will visit Uzbekistan from April 12 to 13 and attend the fourth meeting of foreign ministers of Afghanistan's neighboring countries in Samarkand.
As reported earlier, Samarkand will host the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Afghanistan's neighboring countries, where the foreign ministers of Uzbekistan, Iran, China, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Russia will review the current situation in Afghanistan.
While, on April 14 Samarkand will host the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS to be attended by delegations from Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Russia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, as well as the CIS executive committee. The parties are expected to exchange of views on topical issues on the international agenda and cooperation within the CIS, and discuss the progress of joint programs, as well as draft documents submitted for consideration by the council of heads of state of the Commonwealth.
On the same day, Samarkand will host the sixth meeting of the foreign ministers of the states of Central Asia and Russia.
