A Day Without An Automobile will be held in Tashkent on April 28, the press service of the Tashkent city mayor’s office said in a statement.
A Day Without An Automobile has been held in the world since 1995.
"The importance of this event is incomparable - on the one hand, it is the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, and on the other hand, caring for the environment, minimizing the release of toxic gases into nature," the statement added.
Many events will be organized as part of this day aimed at reducing the movement of cars, promoting the benefits of using public transport, cycling and walking among the public.
