Centrum Air, Silk Avia, Asia Union Airlines and Tashkent Air joined the ranks, along with Uzbekistan Airways, Qanot Sharq, Panorama Airways and Humo Air this year to be stationed in Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Transport said.
Reportedly, year-to-date, Uzbekistan Airways and and other resident airlines imported 17 aircraft into Uzbekistan.
To date, Uzbekistan Airways, Qanot Sharq, Centrum Air, Silk Avia and Humo Air are now operating 93 regular flights per week to local destinations.
In the IATA-2023 summer season, residents and foreign airlines were granted permission to operate international flights on 697 frequencies per week.
