Uzbekistan has climbed to 30th place out of 195 countries in the Open Data Inventory (ODIN) ranking. Open Data Inventory (ODIN) identifies gaps in official statistics, promotes open data policies, improves communication between national statistical authorities and data users, and assesses openness.

Uzbekistan’s ODIN ranking over an eight-year period:

— 2015 - 125th out of 125 countries on 3 points;

— 2016 - 168th out of 173 on 13 points;

— 2017 - 167th out of 180 on 18 pts;

— 2018 - 168th out of 178 on 19 pts;

— 2020 - 44th out of 187 on 63 pts;

— 2022 - 40th out of 192 on 66 pts;

— 2023 - 30th out of 195 on 70 pts.

The Statistics Agency has been collaborating with the Open Data Watch organization since 2019 with the support of the OSCE Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan.
