President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Tashkent’s Yunusabad district Saturday. The head of state familiarized himself with the activities of the Security Office of the Tashkent Police Department.
The Department is introducing the Safe City, a Situation & Command Center . The Center using geoinformation technologies will manage and coordinate the actions of road safety, fire safety, security, patrol service and other services.
This work will be carried out with the help of outdoor video surveillance and modern alarm systems installed in markets, schools, universities, hospitals, hotels, on the streets and in other public spaces. This will help prevent and promptly solve crimes and offenses.
The President pointed to the need to test this command center for two years, to enhance the capacity of the police staff on ITs, to train relevant personnel at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khawarezmi and Tashkent Inha University, to organize the harmonious work of the system and introduce it in all Uzbek cities.
Also Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Shifo Nur, a multi-disciplinary medical center, where he got acquainted with the facilities, projects for conservative and surgical treatment of diseases in adults and children, enhancing cooperation with leading foreign clinics, attracting highly qualified specialists.
The President said it is necessary to provide medical facilities with modern medical equipment, improve the quality of services. The staff must be able to use the equipment, to constantly enhance skills and qualifications.
