The rapidly deteriorating situation in the Middle East is of deep concern to Uzbekistan, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said today.
"Uzbekistan consistently calls on all parties in the region to act for the sake of peace and resolve the situation through mutual negotiations," said the Foreign Ministry spokesman Akhror Burkhanov after the US strikes on nuclear facilities in Iran.
According to Dunyo, citizens of Uzbekistan are advised not to travel to Israel and Iran, and those who are in these countries are advised to move to safer areas if possible.
"All necessary measures are being taken to ensure security. We urge our citizens to remain vigilant and closely monitor official reports," Akhror Burkhanov said.
