On October 27 and 28, on the stage of the Turkiston Palace of Arts, soloists of the Chelyabinsk Philharmonic together with Honored Artist of Russia, artistic director and chief conductor of the symphony orchestra Adik Abdurakhmanov will present a unique musical program consisting of true masterpieces.

October 27 at 19:00 concert “Masterpieces of Russian Classics”.

The first part of the concert will feature Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s Symphonic Suite “Scheherazade” (1888). This work became the top of the composer's oeuvre. It will tell about oriental wonders and will captivate the viewer with its musical structure and color. 

In the second part, the Chelyabinsk Region Symphony Orchestra will perform one of the most famous works by J. Strauss, “On the Beautiful Blue Danube,” which is considered the unofficial anthem of Austria. The music of J. Strauss serves as an ideal example of the waltz in all its splendor.

This musical evening will also feature “Waltz-Fantasy” (M.I. Glinka), “Waltz of the Flowers” (P.I. Tchaikovsky), waltz from the ballets “Swan Lake” and “Sleeping Beauty”. In addition, the viewer will hear “Russian Waltz” (D.D. Shostakovich), a waltz from the suite to the drama “Masquerade” (A.I. Khachaturian), a waltz from the film “A Hunting Accident” (E. Doga) and “Above the Waves” (J. Rosas).

October 28 15:00 and 18:00 “Fairy tales with the Big Orchestra. Nutcracker". Hoffmann's tale and the beautiful music of Pyotr Tchaikovsky is an amazing story about the love of a kind girl and an enchanted young man.

The State Symphony Orchestra of the Chelyabinsk Region and People's Artist of Russia Olga Telyakova will narrate that there is a place for miracles in the world. The magical world of the Christmas fairy tale will be created by animation, excellent musical performance and the mastery of the actor. "The Nutcracker" - a story told by music!
