President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, having arrived in China today, met with the CEO of the Amer International, Wang Wenying, the presidential press service said.
Amer International is involved in high technology, electronics and semiconductor industries, mining and processing projects. The company has a portfolio of ongoing projects in China and abroad worth over $60 billion.
Wang Wenying emphasized that the company considered Uzbekistan as the main destination for business development in the Central Asian region.
Reportedly, they discussed projects for deep processing and production of copper products with high added value, including electrical goods, batteries for electric vehicles, microelectronics and semiconductors.
They reached an agreement on the participation of the chairman of Amer International in the work of the Council of Foreign Investors and the opening of a regional office in Uzbekistan, as well as the adoption of a “road map” to accelerate joint innovation projects.
