Minister of Defense Bakhodir Kurbanov hosted the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan Zakir Hasanov in Bukhara on Thursday, the press service of the ministry said.
The ministers went to the Bukhara training ground, where an official welcoming ceremony of the military delegation took place.
Bakhodir Kurbanov, welcoming his colleague, underscored that bilateral cooperation in the field of defense between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan serves to strengthen the armies of both countries.
Reportedly, the parties exchanged views on the perspectives for the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in the military, military-technical, military-educational areas, and on the organization of regular mutual visits of delegations from specialists from both countries.
Following the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum on military cooperation for 2024.
