Tashkent hosted the International Conference - Youth Rights: Opportunities and Protection Mechanisms, the Dunyo reported on Wednesday.
At the conference were discussed international, regional and national experiences and approaches to the protection and promotion of youth rights and was analyzed the scope of application of current international and regional documents and mechanisms for the protection and promotion of youth rights.
The participants suggested the ways to improve the effectiveness of mechanisms and opportunities for the protection of youth rights and highlighted the main problems faced by young people in fully realizing their rights.
Specific recommendations were put forward to develop ways and means of improving the legal, administrative and political frameworks for the integration of youth rights into the policies of all countries.
On this basis, the final document of the international forum – a draft Central Asian Declaration on Youth Rights was developed and discussed.
Participants expressed confidence that the document will serve as a platform for new efforts and progressive initiatives in the field of youth rights in the future.
