Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke to the Russian president Vladimir Putin over the phone, the Uzbek presidency website said.

The parties discussed the bilateral ties, including the implementation of agreements reached during the high-level visit to the Russian Federation on October 5-7 this year.

The two leaders commended the consistent strengthening of Uzbek-Russian relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance ties, and expanding multifaceted cooperation.

The two-way trade figures are reportedly rising, cooperation projects are being implemented in various sectors of the economy, and interprovincial contacts are developing. The day before, a large joint agrological complex was launched in the Jizzakh province.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Russia also welcomed the active cultural and humanitarian exchanges and ongoing programs in the healthcare sector.
