The Tashkent State Economic University and the Tashkent Finances Institute could ne be moved from the city downtown to the Sergeli district.
Tashkent mayor’s office confirmed that the authorities were discussing such a project.
“The plan is currently being discussed, there is some possibility of this [moving the university buildings], happening but there is no final decision yet. The project is on the table. If it is ready and approved, we will definitely let you know,” the office added.
Tashkent State Economic University is located on Islam Karimov street, while the main building of the Finances Institute is on Amir Temir street.
