The Japanese authorities have announced sanctions for several entities, including companies from Uzbekistan. Japan's personal sanctions list includes 35 individuals. The export ban, which will take effect on December 22, includes 57 organizations from Russia, two from the UAE, one from Syria and two from Uzbekistan.

In particular, sanctions were introduced against Alfa Beta Creative and GFK Logistics Asia. In the summer, the European Union imposed sanctions on these companies.

According to the Unified State Register of Industrial Enterprises of Uzbekistan, Alfa Beta Creative was registered in Tashkent on June 6, 2022 with an authorized capital of 2 million soums, with Svetlana Khaidari listed as the owner.

GFK Logistic Asia was set up on March 28, 2018, with the authorized capital of 200 million soums.

The US imposed sanctions against these Uzbek companies in April. According to the US Department of Commerce, they tried to bypass sanctions to purchase US goods for the needs of the Russian military and defense industry. The European Union joined the restrictions in June.

Tokyo will also introduce a ban on the import of Russian non-industrial diamonds from January 1. It will affect ungraded stones, stones for non-industrial purposes, unprocessed, or simply sawn or chipped.
