HUMO Air, the first low-cost airline in Uzbekistan began operating flights from Terminal 3 at Tashkent International Airport. The airline will start operating in domestic destinations from Tashkent to Samarkand, Nukus, Urgench (Khiva) and Karshi.

As previously reported, ticket fares start from 159 thousand soums, or 13 USD. Information on flights to Navoi, Termez, Bukhara and Fergana, which are planned to be launched soon, is also available on the airline’s website.

The first Tashkent to Urgench flight was attended by the Deputy General Director of the Tashkent Airport, the leadership of HUMO Air and passengers.

“We are pleased to open a new route from Tashkent airport to one of the busiest local destinations – Urgench city. Our goal is to increase passenger traffic and make travel around the country even more comfortable and accessible. Together we can offer more convenient flights at low prices,” says the HUMO Air representative.

At the end of last year, the Swiss investment company Valleyroad Capital S.A. acquired a 100 percent state in Humo Air for 27.2 billion soums, or 2.2 million USD. The airline's new management said it would receive the delivery of the first three aircraft and launch regular flights by the end of June 2023.

In the near future, the airline will operate 1,000 flights carrying more than 200 thousand passengers. In 2024, the low-cost airline vows to launch international flights to a number of cities, including Almaty, Istanbul and Dubai.

“I live in Urgench, but I often come to Tashkent for work. But now I’m glad that I can quickly and cheaply fly to Urgench, and most importantly, celebrate the upcoming New Year with my family. I would like to see even more such convenient flights across the country launched,” says a passenger flying on board the plane.

Flights from Tashkent to Nukus are operated daily on comfortable AIRBUS A320 aircraft at 17:20 local time. Flights from Urgench to Tashkent depart at 19:20 local time.
