The year 2024 in Uzbekistan has been declared the Year of Support for Youth and Business, announced Shavkat Mirziyoyev in his New Year's wishes to Uzbeks.

“Our main goals are to enhance the honor and dignity of a person, ensure the interests of the public and build a strong economy,” he said.

“In the new year, we will step up the attraction of foreign investment, the creation of broad opportunities for doing business and private property, and will focus on the development of science, innovation, the IT sector, and the creation of green and digital technologies,” the president promised.

“The focus will be on creating new jobs and increasing incomes of the public. Wages, pensions, scholarships and benefits will increase. We will continue to fully support women and senior citizens - everyone who needs help and assistance, and will raise the development of the social sphere to a completely new level,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

“The priority task will remain strengthening the independence of the Motherland and the combat readiness of the Armed Forces. In a word, we will mobilize all our strength and capabilities to build a new life, a New Uzbekistan,” he assured.

Summing up the past year, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said: “Of course, in life, along with joys and successes, there are also worries and problems. But a person and the people, thanks to their intellect, selfless work, and strong will, are able to overcome any challenge with dignity.”

“The year 2023 was a successful year for our country and people. The most important thing is that there is peace and tranquility in the country, an atmosphere of interethnic friendship and harmony,” he noted.

“Thanks to the united work of our people, the dream of a New Uzbekistan is becoming a reality. I express my sincere gratitude to you, dear compatriots, for all the successes we have achieved,” the president said.
