Officials of the Uzbek Embassy in Germany met with Michael Harms, Michael Harms - Executive Director of the East German Economic Committee, Dunyo reported.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of projects and plans for economic cooperation between the two countries in 2024, as well as the organization of various events with the participation of businesses.
They focused on organizing a visit of a delegation of leading German companies and firms to Uzbekistan in May this year, and holding joint business forum and B2B meetings with the participation of leading companies of the two countries.
Also, in order to establish investment and trade-economic cooperation relations with Germany's textile, light industry, mechanical engineering, metallurgy, food and pharmaceutical industries, they exchanged views on holding a business conference in the Fergana Valley - Germany format in Namangan provinces.
Michael Harms announced that they were ready to cooperate closely on the training, vocational training and subsequent employment of young Uzbeks on the basis of dual professional education at a time when there is a severe shortage of manpower with secondary special qualifications in Germany.
While, the interlocutor informed that he will participate in the organization of visits of delegations of the country's regions to Germany, including negotiations on the conclusion of new joint investment projects and export contracts with German companies and banks.
