On January 15th, 2024 Romania celebrated the National Culture Day. The date also marked the birth of Romania's national poet Mihai Eminescu (1850-1889), whose works became a landmark of Romanian and universal culture.

Romania has an active and much appreciated presence in Uzbekistan in the cultural field. Romania participated, for the last two years, to the Tashkent International Film Festival, and in 2023 took part, for the first time in the history of Romanian-Uzbek relations, to the Tashkent International Jazz Festival. In 2022, the exhibition "Romania’s Contribution to World Heritage" was organized at the National Library of Uzbekistan. The same year an exhibition about the work of the great sculptor Constantin Brâncuși took place at the Tashkent House of Photography. In 2022 and 2023, Tashkent State Museum of Applied Arts hosted two exhibitions of Romanian folk costumes dedicated to the Universal Day of the Romanian blouse. On December 1, 2023, a Romanian folk songs concert was performed in Tashkent.

According to Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Uzbekistan, H.E. Mr. Daniel Cristian Ciobanu, there is a great potential for further cooperation in the field of culture. Romania pays great attention to the development of relations with the Republic of Uzbekistan.
