As reported earlier, the president Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a government meeting to outline economic policies for 2024. At the meeting, he underscored that the vocational training entities were not operating properly.

For example, most of our fellow countrymen are currently hired abroad in unskilled hard, and low-paid labour, Mirziyoyev said.

In spite of the fact many developed countries of Europe and Asia sought to hire 150,000 Uzbeks as part of major deals, we managed to train and send only 9,000 people.

In this regard, it is important to properly organize the external labor migration system, he added.

The Ministry of Poverty reduction and Employment has been tasked to rectify the shortcomings in job creation and vocational training, teaching 100,000 workers a trade and a language, and send them to work in foreign enterprises.
