Government delegation led by the First deputy foreign minister, Bahrom Aloev attended the 19th summit of the Non-Aligned Movement held on January 19-20 in Kampala, the capital of Uganda.

According to the Foreign Ministry, over delegations from 100 countries, including heads of state, government, foreign affairs agencies and their deputies, attended the event. 

At the meeting, the delegates exchanged views on current international issues, as well as suggestions on tapping the existing potential of the Non-Aligned Movement to ensure global peace and stability and socio-economic development. 

The Uzbekistan delegates expressed gratitude to all members of the movement for supporting Uzbekistan's candidacy for the chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement in 2027-2029, and briefed the participants about the main areas of large-scale and intensive reforms implemented in Uzbekistan. 

They alos pinted to the importance of advancing cooperation in the field of transport and logistics, improving economic and financial systems, combating climate change, and protecting the environment. It was noted the need to strengthen mutual cooperation and exchange of experience in the field of science and innovative technologies, to support the young generation.
