With the support of the Uzbek Embassy in Singapore, a "cooperation agreement on a mega-factory and distribution center in Tashkent province project " was signed, Dunyo said.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Agriculture Ibrohim Abdurahmanov, the governor of Tashkent province Zoir Mirzaev and the chairman of BOD of Willmar International Limited of Singapore Kuok Hun Hong.

The project envisages the construction of a US 100 million mega-factory for flour products, vegetable oils and high-protein feeds through direct investment of Willmar International Limited in the Tashkent province. The feasibility study of the project will be completed in the first year-half.

The project will create a strategic opportunity to include Uzbekistan in Willmar's global supply chain. The development of the distribution center will turn the country into a major regional and global exporter of the markets of Central Asia, the Middle East and other countries.

The project is planned to be implemented on 30 hectares in the village of Surum, Tashkent province, which is strategically important near the railway, the Tashkent ring road and other important communications.
