As part of his stay in Shenzhen, president Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with CEO of the Silk Road Fund Zhu Jun, the press service of the head of state reported.

The Fund was created in 2014 on the initiative of Chinese President Xi Jinping to provide financial support for trade, economic and investment cooperation within the framework of the One Belt and Road Initiative.

The parties reviewed the possibilities of an investment platform created jointly with the Fund for financial support of industrial cooperation and infrastructure development in Uzbekistan.

Then Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Xiang Wenbo, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SANY.

SANY is one of the top 10 wind turbine manufacturers in the world. The company designs, manufactures, builds, operates and manages wind power plants.

During the meeting, the president supported the company’s plans to build a wind power plant in Karakalpakstan, localize the production of components for wind turbines, construction and heavy trucks.

He instructed to adopt a separate “road map” to accelerate the implementation of the agreements reached.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev also met with the CEO of CSG Meng Zhenping.

It is one of the leading power grid companies in China. CSG specializes in facility construction and power grid management. The company's market capitalization is $60 billion.

The parties discussed bilateral projects, focusing on the implementation, with the participation of the Chinese company, of modern design systems, engineering, high standards for ensuring energy security and reducing losses in energy networks.
