The Freedom House published “Freedom in the World 2024” report, which offered a special assessment of the state of democracy in 195 countries of the world.
Uzbekistan, on 12 points, was recognized as Not Free. Uzbekistan scored 10 out of 60 in the civil liberties category, and only 2 out of 40 points in the political rights category.
Kyrgyz Republic (27 points), Kazakhstan (23 points), Tajikistan (5 points) and Turkmenistan (2 points) were also ranked as Not Free.
The freest countries of the ranking are Finland 100 points, New Zealand (99 points) and Sweden (99 points).
