Drunk man tried to enter a Takhtakupir district school in Karakalpakstan autonomy, the press service of the National Guard reported on Wednesday.
The incident occurred on March 4 at approximately 15:40. The school security guard did not allow the man, 45, to enter the school, after which he began to make a fuss and pulled an ax from under his jacket.
Having received the alarm, the National Guard security department sent a rapid response team to the site, which was at the school within 8 minutes.
The man said that he came to his wife, who works as a primary school teacher, to talk to her. He said he took the ax with him to sharpen it before chopping wood.
The National Guard reported that the man was taken to the provincial medical department, and then placed in the center for providing medical assistance to persons in a state of intoxication.
The district police department is investigating the incident.
