The president Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke to the president of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Monday.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev cordially congratulated Sheikh Mohammed Al Nahyan on his birthday, sincerely wishing good health and prosperity, great success in his activities, peace and prosperity to the friendly people of the Emirates.
The two leaders also exchanged warm congratulations on the occasion of the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan for the entire Muslim world and commended the current level of Uzbek-Emirati multifaceted ties.
At the end of 2023, the volume of the two-way trade increased by 20%. There are over 300 enterprises in Uzbekistan with the Emirati investment, with the portfolio of joint projects exceeding $4 billion. In addition, promising projects are being developed in such areas as high technology, energy, geology, agriculture, tourism, IT, infrastructure, logistics and others.
They voiced the reciprocal readiness to step up cooperation in all areas and emphasized the importance of carefully preparing the agenda for upcoming summit meetings.
