Woman beat her six-year-old niece to death at 1 AM on March 12 шn Buka district of the Tashkent province, the spokesman to the General Prosecutor's Office Khayot Shamsutdinov said.
The girl, who was about to turn seven in summer, was left in December by her parents in the care of her 35-year-old aunt N.I. (father’s sister). The National Social Protection Agency added that her parents were in Russia.
Under the pretext that the girl had not done her homework and had deceived her, the woman began to pinch her with particular cruelty in different parts of her body, and then began to beat her with her hands and a wooden stick, causing bodily harm.
On the same day, the investigation department of the Buka district police department launched a criminal case under Intentional grievous bodily harm of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan. The next day the woman was taken into custody.
The girl died on March 15 in the intensive care unit, and pre-investigation is now underway into the incident.
