Sambist Tura Avlakulov was shot dead with a makeshift weapon on March 29 in Shakhrisabz. He died in the hospital two days later, press secretary of the General Prosecutor's Office Khayot Shamsutdinov said.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, a resident of the Kushkhona neighbourhood in Shakhrisabz, U. Sh., arrived at the Lola cafe around 15:00, where he met his acquaintance R. Sh. There they drank and about an hour later went to the Sinabog neighbourhood, where they met Tura Avlakulov.
The three of them at 19:30 went to eat and drink at a cafe in Okdaryo neighbourhood. They drank a bottle of vodka, and U. Sh. stated that he had given the sambist 50 thousand soums when they met, so he should close the account. Avlakulov returned him 50 thousand and said that he would not pay for the entire dinner.
U. Sh. got angry and with the words “Put the money in your pocket,” he got up from the table, went to the car and returned with a homemade pistol. Continuing to swear, he pointed the weapon at Avlakulov’s head and fired, after which he fled the scene.
Tura Avlakulov was hospitalized in the emergency department of the Shakhrisabz City Medical Association.
U. Sh., who tried to escape, was arrested by police officers 500 meters from the scene of the incident.
According to the medical report as of March 29, Tura Avlakulov had a severe open penetrating traumatic brain injury, metal and bone particles inside the skull, a comminuted fracture of the frontal bone on the left side and a bruise on the left eyebrow. His condition was assessed as serious.
On March 30, the Shakhrisabz district prosecutor's office launched a criminal case against U. Sh. under paragraphs Attempted premeditated murder under aggravating circumstances in a manner dangerous to the lives of other persons from hooligan motives charge of the Criminal Code Code.
He is now arrested, with t investigation ongoing.
