Traffic accident occurred on April 3 on the Samara-Shymkent highway near the village of Marzhanbulak in the Aktobe region of Kazakhstan, the Polisia.kz reported on its Telegram channel, which publishes news from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan.
The accident involved a Volvo truck and a Toyota-Alhpard minivan driven by a citizen of Uzbekistan. As a result of the accident, the driver of the minivan and his seven passengers, citizens of Uzbekistan, died at the scene.
According to provisional data, the truck tire burst while driving, the driver lost control of the vehicle and drove into oncoming traffic, where a collision occurred.
Reportedly, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the traffic accident. Relevant examinations have been appointed.
The Uzbek Foreign Ministry reported that the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Aktau was closely cooperating with relevant organizations in Kazakhstan on this issue and the situation is under special control.
