Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan will hold joint military exercises in Kazakhstan in July, the press service of the Azerbaijani defense ministry reported.
On April 4, the defense ministers of the said countries met in Aktau and conducted planning the command and staff exercises Birlestik-2024 (Union-2024*) and signed a relevant joint plan.
Large-scale exercises are planned to be held in the territories of the Oymasha training ground, as well as at Cape Tokmak in the Caspian Sea.
Reportedly, the parties discussed preparation for the exercises and steps to be completed.
