Uzbekistan Airways launched twice-a-week Tashkent to Mumbai flight on Airbus A320 Neo, Dunyo said. The new flight will reportedly facilitate to further strengthen the bilateral ties for businesses, scholars, students, cultural and others between Uzbekistan and the state of Maharashtra with a population of about 120 million people and its neighboring states.
Also, new tourism opportunities for travelers, including skiing, pilgrimage, development of eco-types, conducting wedding ceremonies, and discovering new locations for filming.
The tickets for the first flight from Mumbai to the capital of Uzbekistan was sold at more than 70 percent full.
