Tashkent and provinces will host the annual International Festival of Fine and Applied Arts from April 15 to 19, which will feature 70 foreign artists from the countries of TURKSOY (International Organization of Turkic Culture), as well as South Korea and France.

The TURKSOY countries will be represented at the festival mostly by young talents, two or three artists from each state. Supporting young artists is important for their development, and also contributes to professional growth, Chairman of the Academy of Arts Akmal Nuritdinov said at a press conference.

The largest group of festival participants - 45 people - will come from South Korea. Students and professors of Keimyung University will present an exhibition of their works, and together with the Academy of Arts will hold the first international competition among youth Landscape and Portrait.

The French Embassy in Uzbekistan will organize an exhibition of comics by Jean-Marc Jankovici and Christophe Blain Endless World, dedicated to energy and climate issues.

The festival program, in addition to personal and collective exhibitions, includes master classes in fine and applied arts, displays of modern and national costumes from young designers of the Academy of Arts and scientific conferences.

The festival will be held at six venues in Tashkent. This is the Central Exhibition Hall (CEH), the International Ikuo Hirayama Caravanserai of Culture, Tashkent House of Photography, Academy Gallery, exhibition hall of the Republican Specialized School of Design, as well as the Fine Arts Gallery of Uzbekistan. Some of the events will take place in Nukus and provincial centers.

Admission to all festival events is free.

Day 1, April 15

11:00 — Opening of the festival. Venue - CEH.

12:00 — Exhibitions:

— Art exhibition of the Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami - Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow. Central Exhibition Hall, 2nd floor.

— Exhibition of comics by authors Jean-Marc Jankovici and Christophe Blain Endless World, organized by the French Embassy in Uzbekistan. Venue - CEH.

— Personal exhibition of South Korean artist Ruo Hyeong Min. Venue - CEH.

12:30 — Display of models of historical costumes prepared by students of the Republican Art School named after. P. Benkova.

14:00 — Personal exhibition of theater artist Ediye Jagli. Museum of Oriental Miniatures named after K. Bekhzod.

15:00 - Master class from the VISTA-ARTISTA trademark by Yunusali Murodov. Venue - CEH.

15:00 — Photo exhibition France and its exceptional heritage in collaboration with the French Embassy. Gallery of the Academy of Arts.

16:00 — Opening of the exhibition of students from Keimyung University (South Korea). Gallery of the Academy of Arts.

Day 2, April 16

10:00 — Master class on applied art of the applied art section of the Union of Artists of Uzbekistan. Venue - CEH.

10:30 — Master class on miniatures together with the Nevskaya Palitra plant by Said Jalilov. Museum of Oriental Miniatures named after. K. Bekhzoda.

11:00 — Round table on the topic: Development of multilateral cooperation of TURKSOY member countries. Conference hall of the Academy of Arts.
