As evidence of strengthened ties between Uzbekistan and Italy, cooperation in the field of education has taken center stage. Following high-level visits in 2023, the two nations have been committed to bolstering their strategic partnership across various sectors, with education emerging as a centrals issue.

During these diplomatic exchanges, both parties underscored the importance of enhancing cooperation in education. The Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent has been highlighted as a prime example of successful collaboration in this sector.

One notable outcome of this partnership is the growing interest in learning the Italian language in Uzbekistan. Officials have expressed great satisfaction with this trend and unanimously emphasized the necessity of training Italian language teachers while gradually introducing Italian language studies into Uzbekistan's schools.

The tangible results of this collaborative effort are evident, particularly within the higher education system where the study of the Italian language has seen advancements. The achievements in this area not only signify a growing interest but also a deep commitment to fostering Italian language proficiency within Uzbekistan.

Recently, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy celebrated the 20th anniversary of teaching Italian with a festive event. During this occasion, the university's Rector, Sodiq Safoyev, convened with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Uzbekistan, Agostino Pinna, and the Rector of the Italian University of Perugia, Valerio De Cesaris.

Acknowledging the multifaceted cooperation, the attendees recognized the role of practical collaboration in fostering friendly ties between nations. Highlighting the importance of such collaborations, the event showcased various performances including poems, songs, and excerpts from Italian opera works. Students staged a performance based on William Shakespeare’s timeless classic, "Romeo and Juliet".

The event concluded with active participants and distinguished guests receiving certificates of honor, symbolizing the continued commitment to fostering educational collaboration between Uzbekistan and Italy.
