As part of the Women in Tech Global Awards, Tashkent hosted the regional CCA Awards ceremony on October 20. The event brought together leading representatives of the IT sector, startup founders and innovators from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and other countries.
The goal of the award is to celebrate the success of women in technologies sector and support them. The nominees for the award were those who demonstrated leadership qualities, innovation and social activity.
So, the winners of the regional award were:

● Dinara Kozhamzharova, Kazakhstan, Co-Founder, CTO Qabi Tech — GLOBAL LEADERSHIP.
"Receiving the award was an exciting and unforgettable event for me. I experienced such emotions when I won a grant for my PhD dissertation in Germany. “Receiving this award recently brought me back to those exciting moments,” says Nigora Dadabaeva, Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. “The recognition and support I received from this award not only validates my hard work and commitment to my own endeavors, but also inspires me even more.” The winners in each category were shortlisted for the Women in Tech Global Awards, which will be held in Paris on November 14.

In addition, Nargis Dustmatova, Chairperson of the Fintech Association of Uzbekistan, Bokhodir Ayupov, CEO of IT Park University and Shavkat Karimov, Head of IT Community of Uzbekistan, also spoke at the award ceremony. In their speeches, they shared their experiences and talked about the prospects of the Uzbek and global markets for women.
"Information technology is one of the priority areas in Uzbekistan today. The decisions taken in this regard are aimed at increasing their role in all spheres of society. These awards support the work of women in the field of technology and serve as recognition and encouragement of their achievements," said Advisor to the Minister of Digital Technologies Kamola Sobirova.
Many speeches were aimed at motivating the younger generation and inspiring girls to boldly pursue their goals in IT. The speakers emphasized the importance of believing in yourself and not being afraid to overcome obstacles.
"The number of women in the IT sphere is increasing every year, and day after day more and more role models appear in the modern world. Women's projects require state support, and it is important that the government of Uzbekistan is actively involved in supporting women. Their encouragement creates new opportunities and helps women succeed in the technology sector,” says Anna Ambrozevich, Director of Women in Tech Uzbekistan.
The Global Awards and Regional Awards from Women in Tech have already been held in seven major regions around the world. This year, CCA Awards received applications from all countries in the region. 45 nominees reached the final stage and 9 of them were recognized as the best by the jury committee.
In the future, the award will continue to serve as an important platform for recognizing women who create innovative solutions, make a significant contribution to the development of technology and are role models for future generations. Women in Tech will continue to work to strengthen gender equality and support women in the technology industry, inspiring them to new achievements and leadership roles in the IT sphere, in particular in the regions throughout Uzbekistan.
It is worth noting that Women in Tech is a global organization founded in 2017, the purpose of which is to increase the participation of women in technology. The organization unites more than 250 thousand members in over 56 countries. The head office of this organization is located in France. Its permanent partner is UN Women. Ayumi Mur Aoki, founder and CEO of Women in Tech Global, was named one of the world's 100 leading women.
Women in Tech started its operations in Uzbekistan on March 2 of this year. The main focus is on education and digital inclusion. Key objectives include integrating girls into the global community, improving their knowledge and skills, and developing leadership skills in areas where it is important to achieve gender equality.
